canoe_runAfter traveling for about 35 miles on the Western Highway, you’ll only need to travel 4 miles further on quaint country roads which bring you to Balam Ha (Mayan for "Water of the Jaguar") a Hidden Getaway on the banks of the Caves Branch River.

Balam Ha, dedicated to bringing out the "wild in you", will be the hub of your rainforest adventure. You will embark in the back of an open motorized lorry along a rainforest trail, among the lush flora and fauna of myriad Palms and Heliconias before arriving at the canoe outpost.

Marvel at the awesome power of flowing water as you paddle through rock channels eroded out of huge limestone bedrock. In the canoe, you will experience the rainforest from a different vantage point. From the recovery point downstream, you will be driven back to Balam Ha where a lunch of savory Belizean BBQ chicken and fresh squeezed citrus juice awaits you. You may choose to freshen up with a dip in the cool clear natural pool at Balam Ha.

Includes: Transportation, equipment, lunch and soda.

Duration: Approx 3 hours on site, 2 hours return.
